Charlotte Ersbøll

Charlotte is among the leading Danish experts in converting the SDGs into strong business models. Charlotte provides guidance to senior executives in and outside Denmark on how businesses can transform the SDGs into strategic guiding principles within sustainability, business development, internal and external stakeholder mobilization and sustainable reporting. Charlotte is able to draw on her extensive experience which among others includes working as strategic communication advisor for UN Global Compact’s former CEO. Together they created UNGC’s key messages and brand through speeches, articles, event concepts and publications. Moreover, Charlotte led the way for the development of UNGC’s multi stakeholder platform called “Health is Everyone’s Business”. This platform mobilized businesses, universities, NGOs and UN through integrated action improving climate and public health.

 

Before Charlotte founded Hansen & Ersbøll Agenda together with Lotte, Charlotte was managing director of Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Stakeholder Engagement. Here, Charlotte was in charge of Novo Nordisk’s brand, external environment relation, multi stakeholder partnerships and environmental strategy. Charlotte played a vital role in the development of Novo Nordisk’s global brand and partner platform Changing Diabetes®. An important milestone in Charlotte’s career was when she made sure that Novo Nordisk, unlike most global companies, was ready to present its SDGs aspirations at the 2015 UN’s general assembly where the 17 Sustainable Development Goals were presented.

 

Charlotte has a degree from Copenhagen Business School, and she has diplomas from Harvard Business School and Cambridge University Prince of Wales Business & Sustainability Programme. Moreover, Charlotte is a member of Forum for the Future’s board which is a non-profit organization that drives sustainable change within the system.

 

When Charlotte is not fighting to make the world a better place, she is enjoying life with her husband, Thomas, their two adult children and two dogs. Her favorite time of the day is when she goes for a walk at the beach or in the forest with her dogs. She also enjoys finding her zen on her yoga mat.
